Opened in 1874 as a free museum and gallery, the institution showcases an extensive collection that would even blow off the socks off Ben Stiller! At the museum, you can find ancient Egyptian artefacts (including a real mummy!) as well as Japanese woodblock prints, Victorian paintings, coins, textiles, and there’s interactive local history displays aplenty.
